Alert Driving School is owned and operated by me, Frank Harkin in the Mullingar area. I am a fully qualified Driving Instructor and registered as an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with the Road Safety Authority - registered number F36517.
This can be verified on the Road Safety Authority website.
My aim is to provide courteous, patient and effective driving lessons and to teach good and safe driving habits for life, not just to pass the driving test.
The car used for driving lessons is a Citroen C3, 1.1litre with dual controls and twin airbags. It has appropriate signage to warn other road users that car is being operated by a learner driver.
I provide driving lessons for category B (car) driving for all those who have passed their Theory Test and hold a category B Learner Driver Permit (formerly Provisional Driving License). All those who obtain their Learner Driving Permit after April 3rd 2011 must undertake a program of 12 specified driving lessons called Essential Driver Training (EDT).
I provide EDT driving lessons and provide logbook free of charge and free handouts to those who take 12 EDT lessons with Alert Driving School. EDT lessons follow a set criteria but I will take pupil's strengths and weaknesses into account when teaching these lessons.
